We have been informed by Patriot Disposal that they will not be picking up trash tomorrow, February 9, 2010 because of the road conditions. Unless otherwise notified, they will be picking up on the next regularly scheduled pickup day (Friday). Again, we will continue to keep the community informed of any updates. |

Please be advised that the contractor is continuing to be on-site plowing snow. We ask that you do not throw snow into the street when clearing off vehicles and sidewalks. This is because it may be a few hours before the snow plows come through to clear the street. During this time the snow shoveled into the street turns into a thick layer of ice. This ice is difficult to remove. It takes more chemicals and can damage plows, raising the operating costs of the company, who passes those costs onto the Association and thus to you, the homeowner. Furthermore, the ice makes it hard for residents and emergency vehicles to navigate our community. We ask that you shovel the snow to a nearby common area or to the yards of neighbors that grant you permission to do so, while avoiding cleared sidewalks, driveways, and streets. We recognize the difficulty all this snow creates, but please help the plow company keep our streets clear by not pushing snow into the streets. |

Recently in the Sully District, we have experienced a rising number of tool thefts from work vans and service trucks parked in residential areas.
If you or someone you know has a work van, here are a few tips to help prevent them from being targeted. - Lock the vehicle!
- Use quality locks to secure side and rear doors.
- Consider installing a barrier shield between the driver/passenger compartment and the rear.
- Park the vehicle in a garage or driveway.
- Park in a well lit area.
- Have vehicle equipped with an alarm system.
- Limit visibility of the tools.
- Have locking compartments inside of vehicle.
- Install tool boxes that you can bolt in place to vehicle.
- Make sure the tool boxes that you have can be secured with a lock.
Please contact the police should you observe any suspicious activity, persons or vehicles. Call especially if you see someone trying car door handles or peering into vehicles.
