Snow Removal Request
Written by dominic
Feb 08, 2010 at 10:12 AM
Please be advised that the contractor is continuing to be on-site plowing snow. We ask that you do not throw snow into the street when clearing off vehicles and sidewalks. This is because it may be a few hours before the snow plows come through to clear the street. During this time the snow shoveled into the street turns into a thick layer of ice.
This ice is difficult to remove. It takes more chemicals and can damage plows, raising the operating costs of the company, who passes those costs onto the Association and thus to you, the homeowner. Furthermore, the ice makes it hard for residents and emergency vehicles to navigate our community.
We ask that you shovel the snow to a nearby common area or to the yards of neighbors that grant you permission to do so, while avoiding cleared sidewalks, driveways, and streets. We recognize the difficulty all this snow creates, but please help the plow company keep our streets clear by not pushing snow into the streets.
