This is an appeal to the families of Heritage Forest. We need your help on the Neighborhood Watch Committee. We recognize that everyone has demanding lives in these tough economic times. However, it is also a known and documented fact that when Neighborhood Watch (NW) car patrols slack off in communities, crime increases. This is apparently what is happening in Heritage Forest and Singleton's Grove. Over the last few months alone we have had a rash of car break-ins and thefts. The criminal element feels safer as they are not seeing our patrol cars on the street. As a result crime was way down in both our areas.
Even with Heritage Forest and Singleton's Grove combining forces to avoid burnout, we have only five or six people regularly patrolling out of a community population of 1100 families. They cannot carry the burden of the Neighborhood Watch Patrols for our two communities. Please sign-up for a car patrol. The patrol is set up where you can pick the two nights a week that you want to go out. You can also pick the time frame anywhere between 10:00 PM and 1:00 AM. The only condition is you vary the pattern and don't become predictable. We can reduce the crime spree. Join Neighborhood Watch. For more information contact the on-site manager. |
